http://del.icio.us/fhiwindows/windows

When I searched on google for FHI Windows I saw that the above listed link was located on my first page of results. Does anyone else here use del.icio.us to tag their sites?

Maybe Mike or Shane can fill us in on how the site actually works.

I'm going to give you a summary of what this site is, basically from what they say it is designed to do.

Del.icio.us is a collection of favorites, both yours and everyone else's that you can use to keep links to your favorite articles, blogs, and music and so on. It also gives you a way to share your favorites with friends, family other members and most importantly, search engines.

The site is nothing more than a place you can go to easily access sites you have bookmarked for del.icio.us. It gives you the ability to visit all of your favorite sites from anywhere, not just from your computer.

The site is huge so the pages will rank if set up properly. Ranking for something like FHI Windows is so easy to do it's not funny. I'm talking about ranking for targeted keywords, in your case, something more like vinyl replacement windows.

The way to achieve this is to set your account up into folders and name the folder the same way you would normally title pages. Just look at the page title and work your keywords in from there.

If you are wondering how this will help you, consider this: A page that links to your web site will give more of a boost if the content of the page is relevant to your site. So creating folders for specific topics related to your site and placing bookmarked pages of your site in those folders with descriptions relevant to the page it links to will produce very good inbound links for your site.

Just don't get to thin with the amount of pages inside each folder and don't place too many either. Read this post related to links on blog post and link juice for more info on how many links per page.
