I would like to know about replacing painted trim with some thing like flat, stained wood trim. I have been having some water leak problem which I want to be fixed also .

Your best bet is to hire a professional window company to inspect your windows and determine the extent of your damage.

I have to agree, unless you know right where it is leaking from. Then you still might want to get some professional advice before you move forward on this.

Hello

To solve the leak problem you must take the window out and make the necessary repairs to the sash or the wood frame and trim that surrounds the window.
