I don't know how much this applies to electrical other that the fact you get an electrical bill each month base on one, but I have seen people do some funny stuff trying to stop their electrical meter.
I have seen people put magnets on the meter and I know one guy that could pop his with the palm of his hand and make it stop.
Not that I have an interest in doing it myself, but what other ways has anyone seen done by people trying to save on their monthly. |

It would be easier to install a T in your incoming water before it goes into the meter. When we first moved into our home I spent a few months remodeling it and I did not use much water. Our town's water department called to see if it was ok if they investigated our water use. The guy spent an hour having me turn on all of the faucets while he watched the meter run. After he was done he told me how to install a T to divert water to my shower and washer machine. Sort of odd how he teaches non-criminals to become criminals.
We still pay for ALL of our water. |

Most meters today are electronic and therefore somewhat tamper proof.

| I am sure as times changed so did the methods of tampering things. I think it is funny that an employee of the company told you what you could do to divert the water and save money. I am surprised at that. |
