If every contractor felt that way I would dominate the internet. My work comes from two sources, referrals and leads from my website. My cost per job from my website is lower than any other lead source. I am not alone, any successful business uses a professional website.

If you don't think you can make money with a contractor website, you may be looking at it all wrong or from a different view point. A web site for contractors is not like a ecommerce store. You don't make money on the site, you simply use it as another form of advertising to expand your reach to potential customers.
With an online store, you depend on someone buying something and with a contractor or any service based site, you depend on request for estimates. So if someone in your service area looks for the service you offer online, which is very often for mainstream trades, then your site is presented to them and if the professional look and services you offer meet what they are looking for, they request an estimate. You give a good price and talk good, you get the job, and therefore the contractor web site made you money.
Anyone not making money from there website, needs to contact us so we can evaluate the site and get the site to rank for something other than the name of the business. |

A website will help any type of business if used correctly. People who claim they're not making money from their website prob just threw a site up and expected it to do all the work.
Sure you can build a great website but you still have to make it work for your business. |

I think you are wrong, my friend made my one page advertising site and helps me market it in our area and we have gained quite a few projects from this one page site. |
