There are a lot of different types vinyls siding in the market place today. Make sure that the person or company that installs your siding is a reputable company with references.
If you are remodeling your home the thicker the siding will usually give the best look. Only using a micrometer would you be able to tell for certain if the contractor was installing the correct siding, the finish product would be a tell, tell sign. The thinner vinyl siding the worse it will look on your home especially when the sun is on it for a period of time. Thicker the better, and if you get it with the insulation already attached to the siding panel, that is even better, such as the Prodigy Siding.
