I find that a cleaning business is not much different than any other business. You not only have to provide a quality service but you have to go above and beyond to give each customer more than they expect.

You have to have top notch customer service. Provide some sort of cleaning service guarantee, and know how to sell your services. Having an idea of your expenses and numbers will give you an idea of what to charge. Another major factor is to know the industry so you can educate your customers.

I have been considering opening up my own franchise of a commercial cleaning company. Does anyone have any recommendations on franchising? Are prices set by the franchise or by the franchise owner?

My Grandmother actually runs a cleaning supply business, and I frequently help her with orders and deliveries, but that's just for supplies, and we do not do anything of the actual cleaning ourselves. Wish I could be of more help though Sad
