I know the difference between a flat and a satin paint, but I have never been able to see a real difference between flat satin and eggshell. Is there really a difference or did someone just make up a name for a old paint finish and get rich?
Now I don't claim to be a painter but there isn't anything wrong with my eyes either. These two paint finishes look identical in every home or building I've seen them used in. Maybe one is easier to clean or resist stains better but I haven't seen proof of that either.
Someone please tell me what the difference is and why one is better than the other.
Thank you for asking this question. I have recently came across the two as well. So I was wondering what the difference is as well. I do not notice any in the way they look.
