Anyone do any brick paver cleaning? It isn't that popular here in Northern Indiana but I have done some. I worked with another cleaning contractor up in Michigan. Up there a lot of lake homes have brick pavers for sidewalks, walkways, and even entire driveways. They are pretty neat looking and fairly easy to clean and seal.
You clean brick pavers with a roto nozzle to remove all the dirt, weeds, and old sand that's left in between the bricks. After a couple of days you come back and pour very fine sand all over the bricks. You sweep the sand around with a push broom to get it in between all the cracks. A leaf blower is used to blow off the extra sand once it is between all the bricks. After that you apply a clear brick paver sealer using a pump up sprayer. The sealer will cure after a few days and will solidify the sand. The brick paver sealer has a glossy finish to it so it looks very nice when its finished.
It will last about two years and then you have to clean, re-sand and seal the brick pavers again.
