The project has to go to one of the guys , if the guys share the jobs they can say ok this is the price and give the client a better job and will be able to take more jobs .

I agree that projects can be easily completed when you have other people you can work with in a short time notice and other occasions.

You just have to make sure you can work with the other contractor. Like the old saying goes, "Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth".

You want to make sure that you both get paid equally however. I know a few people who went on contracting jobs with others, and got burnt in the end because who they went in with got less money than agreed upon. Get everything in writing!
