Where did you learn your web design skills? Are you pretty comfortable with HTML if you need to fine tune your site?

Most contractors are NOT comfortable with html coding. That is the main reason why we now build all contractor websites on a content management system that allows them to edit and expand their site as they desire.

To my knowledge, we are the only company doing CMS systems exclusively for contractors.

I have been largely learning everything on my own, although friends of mine have offered assistance, and were also sources of inspiration for me. Also I took a few web design classes, but all they really did is help me refine my skills a little.

I learned it the reverse way. From using Wysiwyg editors, I backtracked and learned to hardcode
