Companies that don't take advantage of social networking are missing an opportunity in marketing. All you need to do is set up a user account (your company) and start participating in groups and discussions so people know you are out there.

Yes, social networking sites have a huge appeal among masses. The more the company gets its user groups attractive the more it can become famous. I had personally seen many companies already using this potential to attract more businesses.

I have actually created Myspace pages for a number of my different business ventures, and have also made a point of utilizing Social Bookmarking sites as well, and I would definitely say it helps a lot!
