Would a site like Twitter help get the name out for companies that deal with construction? I know people like Twitter so I was curious.

depends of how you do it. Twitter and the likes are great for building relationships but not great to get you out there. I would say ask customers and leads to follow you on twitter then provide great content and interesting ideas. Make it fun and personality driven. Not about just your work. One of the greatest I ever sent out, that brought in people, was a quick link to an article about a naked man arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

People read twitter for fun, not sales pitches. Follow zappos owner for a great example too.

Would appreciate your insights on “Effectiveness of B2B portals in the construction industry” for my
dissertation

Hi, this is karen, a final year undergraduate student. I am doing my dissertation on the effectiveness of vertical specific B2B portals and marketplaces in the US.

I need to understand the current status of B2B portals in the construction industry. I will appreciate if you could share your thoughts and feedback through the link below. It will take only 2 min. of your time.

It depends upon your keyword search. Be wise enough to pick your desired result.

Twitter is an online social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based posts of up to 140 characters, informally known as tweets.Twitter is a real-time information network that connects you to the latest information about what you find interesting. Simply find the public streams you find most compelling and follow the conversations.
