Rather than use a conventional spirit level use a laser level these can be attached to virtually any surfave leaving you free to mark of your measurements - saves you a pair of hands!

Thanks for the idea, I have no exposure to that tool but think that it can be very helpful on some of the jobs we have where it might be time consuming to take someone else from another area being worked on.
