I have heard that some vinyl window frames are made with gases between the Paynes. Why would they do this and are they dangerous.

They gases used are inert and by that it means not explosive, posionous, corrosive etc, it means they are nothing - I personally think the vacum is the best way forward as the transfer of hold/cold is greatly reduced

Air is light weight.

Argon is heavier

Krypton gas is very heavy.

The heavier the gas the better the window will block out the bad stuff. (plain English)
