Even though keyword density is not the best way to gauge your content, it does give some insite to what keywords your competitors are using and and how ofter they use them within the content of their web pages. It also provides a second look at how often you've sprinkled your targeted keywords and keyword phrases on your own web pages. This is useful in the sense that we sometimes get carried away with trying to use keywords and we often don't target longtail terms enough. So use this tool to check the density of your terms and compare those results to your keyword list and competitors.
